To our Falls Village Veterinary Hospital Family:
In light of recent events, we want to address the current COVID-19 situation. We are closely monitoring this situation and have evaluated current protocols within our hospital. The health of our team members, clients and patients have always been and will always be our number one priority.
We are currently open for regular business hours. We will continue to see patients for both wellness and sick visits. Falls Village Veterinary Hospital has always had rigorous cleaning protocols, to include disinfection each room after each patient, washing hands thoroughly after contact with any patient and throughout the day. We are sanitizing shared surfaces in common areas, restrooms, exam rooms, and treatment areas after each visit. Vacuuming takes place twice daily. These protocols have been amplified.
Please call us when you get in the parking lot and give us the make, model and color of your vehicle, and we will come to you. We will take a thorough history and take your pet inside to complete the examination. We will then bring your pet back out to your vehicle and go over exam findings and treatment plan for your pet. We can also do checkouts at the car.
If you are sick, have a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or are experiencing any flu-like or respiratory symptoms, we ask that you call to reschedule your pet’s appointment or have a trusted person bring your pet to their appointment.
We have asked employees to stay home if they are experiencing a fever of 100.0 or higher or if there are any respiratory symptoms. To return to work, the employee must be fever free and have no other symptoms for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing or symptom altering medications.
Please keep in mind that we do have our online pharmacy for medication and food products. When ordering through our online pharmacy, your pet’s medications are guaranteed and you can take advantage of manufacturer coupons and rebates. These medications will ship directly to you, with autoship options available. Please visit https://raleighncvet.vetsfirstchoice.com/. If you need help placing your orders online, please give us a call and we will be happy to help you.
As for our pets, both the CDC and World Health Organization report dogs and cats are not at risk for contracting COVID-19, and pets cannot transmit the virus to people.
We thank you for your continued support and understanding and patience during this difficult time. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call us at 919-847-0141
