“I love being able to help animals and clients through all stages of pets’ lives, the good times and the bad. We, as veterinarians, have the opportunity to watch our patients grow, mature and experience life.”
Dr. Suzy Brink has been an integral part of our hospital family since 1995. We can sum her up simply: she’s solid in all the right ways. Determined, experienced, and it’s so obvious that animals bring her joy.
Dr. Brink’s passion for animals shows when our patients light up her face as she walks into a room. She brings an energy that gets tails wagging and is incredibly thorough and compassionate in her exams and treatments. To her, tough cases are never an obstacle, but instead, a challenge to get to the best solution for each individual pet. This problem-solving mentality is part of why she excels in her areas of special interest – dermatology and internal medicine – both of which often require a lot of listening and critical thinking to get to the source of the problem rather than just treating a symptom.
Dr. Brink, a Raleigh, NC native, graduated from NCSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She practiced medicine at an emergency clinic for a year before joining Falls Village Veterinary Hospital. Now, along with Dr. Chessie Green, she owns our awesome hospital. We’re so glad that since 1995, this has been her veterinary home!
“FVVH is a large family composed of a close knit staff and a wonderful clientele who all have the same goal – give the best care to the pets in our charge. I have been with this hospital for over 20 years because of the great clients and the compassion seen in all of the staff.”
With no shortage of Continuing Education under her belt to keep her current in new treatments or methods of diagnoses and a range of charitable interests, especially those that are mutually beneficial to both humans and animals, Dr. Brink is a wonderful asset to our local pets and their people.
Dr. Brink has an adventurous streak! When she’s not helping pets, one of her favorite hobbies is scuba diving!
She also loves charities that benefit both animals and people. She supports Hope Reins and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
We’d love to get to know you and your pets better and provide you with the personalized care and support your pet deserves.
